Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks– Swatches

I have to say Jeffree stars liquid lipstick formula is pretty incredible. It doesn’t feel cakey and doesn’t come off when you press your lips together like others. It also isn’t as drying as I expected. His lipsticks are $18 each and are currently sold out but they should return in March or April I believe.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kits–Swatches

These contour kits retail for $40 each and are only available online for now at (they are temporarily off her website since she is working on getting another server) but they are also available at They will be available at Macy’s impulse stores at the end of March.

They currently only come in 3 shade kits, light, medium, and deep. A ‘fair’ kit is currently in the works and will be available soon!

I was surprised at how pigmented these creams are, they give a lot of coverage but at the same time they blend easily so you won’t be left with harsh lines. The creams also do not leave the skin feeling oily like others I’ve tried and don’t have a “slip” to them either, so they don’t just slide around on the skin.

Here are swatches of each of the kits:

Gerard Cosmetics Lipsticks

So everyone has been raving about these lipsticks from Gerard Cosmetics, I already have 1995 but they are currently having a sale that I could not pass up so I decided to go ahead and get the rest of them.
I really like the formula, they’re matte but not drying on my lips. The lipsticks sell individual for $19 but they are having a sale the 5 pack of all of their lipsticks for $45 (which normally goes for $95) with the code GCdeal45, I believe the deal lasts till the end of October. I couldn’t resist since I had been wanting their other lipsticks but wasn’t willing to pay $80+ for the other 4 haha

Here are swatches of all of the lipsticks

Ipsy May 2013 Glam Bag

My Glam Bag finally arrived today! This month they had so many different possible products and this bag is definitely worth more than $10.

St. Tropez Instant Glow Body Lotion- I’m so glad I got this! My legs definitely need some color and it leaves a nice golden color to the skin.

Nume Finishing Serum- At first I was a little bummed I got this since I only style my hair with heat tools like twice a year but after reading the bottle I’m looking forward to using it! It tames flyaways and frizz, preserves hair color by sealing your cuticle, and reduces blow dry time and speed up styling time, and since I have frizz I’m definitely in need of a good serum.

Zoya Nail Laquer in Neely- I was ecstatic when I saw I got the green shade, I have been into pastel green nail polishes lately so I can’t wait to wear it.

Yabi Concealer in Buff-  When I saw we were getting a concealer in this months bag I was a little nervous because I didn’t want to get one that was too dark (even though I figured I could use it has a contour or a highlight if it was too light) I wanted one that I could actually use as a concealer and Buff is the perfect shade for me!

Juicy Beauty Lipgloss in Pink- I was disappointed when I saw that I got a lip gloss since I don’t wear lip gloss…at all but thankfully its not sticky or thick at all. The smell is fruity, a little bit too strong at first but fades after a little while.

MAC RiRi Woo Swatches and Comparisons

OK GUYS! I finally got my RiRi Woo yesterday!! I was soo excited! The first thing I did today was go to Nordstrom to get swatches of Russian Red and Ruby Woo to compare them for you all, because I lost my Ruby Woo and I don’t own Russian Red.

RiRi Woo (RRW) and Ruby Woo (RW) are very and I mean VERY similar, except RRW is a little more intense and a bit deeper. Its really hard to tell the difference in photographs but they are pretty much the same color. I would have been a little disappointed had I not lost RW since they’re really close in color. The main difference is the formula, RRW is smoother and less drying than RW but other than that theres not really a difference. So those of you that own Ruby Woo don’t be too disappointed! I also swatched it with Russian Red and RR is deeper and has a smoother formula.

RiRi Woo will be available again in June, so those of you who didn’t get your hands on it you still have a chance!

So now what you’re really here for, the pictures! (Excuse my messy vanity I’m in the process of re-organizing it)

You can BARELY tell that RRW is a little more vibrant that RW in the photo but its a little more noticeable in person. It’s kind of like if Russian Red and Ruby Woo had a baby.

Mary Kay: True Dimension Lipsticks

Mary Kay is one of my favorite brands, it was the first makeup brand I started using (since my mom used to sell it when I was little) I remember I used to go into her makeup and practice putting on eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick, you name it so that way when I got older and I was allowed to wear makeup I’d know how haha

Anyway! back to the post! I recently bought a lot of different products from Mary Kay and instead of doing a huge collective post I’m going to do several different posts by category on the products I got. This one is going to be on lipsticks. I’ve recently been into the whole “its a balm and a lipstick” type of lip products as opposed to standard lipsticks, so I figured I’d try these.

They come in silver tubes, and you push them from the top and the lipstick bullet pops out on the bottom, its pretty cool!

I bought 4 of their True Dimension lipsticks which Mary Kay describes as “Intensely moisturizing. Exquisitely smoothing. It’s like a color-infused fountain of youth for your lips.” and they are, I love them! They really are moisturizing and don’t feel sticky or waxy which of course is great!

New Lip Colors

Color Whisper in A Plum Prospect- I’ve said how amazing these are in my last post about color whispers and I’ll say it again. I love to buy corresponding colors to lipsticks that I own and apply them over my lipstick during the day when my lips start drying out and it hydrates them and keeps the color vibrant. I love all the ones that I have but A Plum Prospect is my new favorite color whisper at the moment! Its a gorgeous berry color with subtle shimmer that actually looks very pretty for summer.

Khroma Joystick in Shocking Pink- This is my current favorite fuchsia lip color, It’s so bright and the formula is hydrating. I love that they are pencil type lipsticks because they allow you to be precise when applying them.
