Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kits–Swatches

These contour kits retail for $40 each and are only available online for now at (they are temporarily off her website since she is working on getting another server) but they are also available at They will be available at Macy’s impulse stores at the end of March.

They currently only come in 3 shade kits, light, medium, and deep. A ‘fair’ kit is currently in the works and will be available soon!

I was surprised at how pigmented these creams are, they give a lot of coverage but at the same time they blend easily so you won’t be left with harsh lines. The creams also do not leave the skin feeling oily like others I’ve tried and don’t have a “slip” to them either, so they don’t just slide around on the skin.

Here are swatches of each of the kits:

Skin care: TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask

I have to say putting on face masks is my favorite part of skin care! I love how clean and smooth my skin looks afterwards. This mask from TruSelf Organics is my new favorite! It is all natural and has no parabens, petroleum, artificial dyes, or synthetic fragrances.

To use the mask you mix the powder with equal parts water and then apply like you would normally apply any mask. I would suggest using upward motions since the mask does get really stiff, it will help keep your skin firm and give you a ‘lift’.

It’s made from a blend of natural clays that draws out bacteria and toxins from your skin. It clears pores, assists with acne, unevenness, and wrinkles.

I truly love this mask! I use it once a week and I find that to be sufficient since I have dry skin. If your skin is on the oily side you may want to use it twice a week.

They’re having a special that’s good till January 30, 10% off with the code loveyourskin15.

Fullips Enhancer Review!

So its no secret that big lips are so in right now. Everyone is still obsessing over Kylie Jenner’s lips, are they real, did she have surgery? is it just lip liner?…Her lips are quickly becoming one of the wonders of the world. I used to without question think she had some type of injections but after noticing that the size wasn’t really consistent, I really think she uses fullips, or some type of lip suction device because these can really plump up your lips if you use them enough.

Okay, so I have to admit I’m a huge skeptic when it comes to things like this. I always feel like its too good to be true. For those of you that haven’t heard of or seen these they’re basically these little “cups” that are made of durable plastic that you place to your lips, suck the air out of them to create suction and it pulls blood to your lips plumping them up and making them appear fuller. The results are only temporary and last a few hours but you can repeat as needed throughout the day. They are described as being “A lip plumper that never runs out” which is true, you don’t have to keep replacing these like you do with plumping glosses and other things of that nature.

They come in 3 sizes

(click on any of the photos of the 3 sizes to take you to the fullips website)

Large Round

Best for overall fullness on both top & bottom lips,
or if you already have full lips and want to enhance them

Large Round

Medium Oval

Great for women with thin lips or smaller mouths. Also allows you to
target larger sections at a time

Medium Oval

Small Oval

Best for targeting specific areas such as the cupids bow, center of mouth

Small Oval

They can be purchased individually for $19.99, in a 2 combo pack for $35.99, or in a 3 pack for $49.99

Fullips 3 Pack

At first I thought that it wasn’t really necessary to have more than one but after I started using them I noticed that each one really does work differently to create a different effect and to target different areas. So I would recommend at least 2, the small oval definitely to target specific areas and define your lips, and either the large round or the medium oval depending on your lips.

To use Fullips you simply hold it up to your mouth, (you can apply some water around your mouth for better suction)

then suck the air out of it and it should stay on your mouth without you holding it. It did take me a few times to figure out how to get it to stay and to make sure not to create too much suction because i’ve heard people can get bruising. Its best to just start small and not over do it until you figure out what works for you.

This is my before and after, I used one of the techniques from the Fullips YouTube channel, which can be found HERE

I used the large round for all over fullness and the small oval on the cupids bow. I didn’t do it too much because its really easy to go overboard and just keep going and going to see how big you can get your lips, but let me warn you they can get pretty big. Thankfully it is temporary and usually lasts 2-3 hours on me depending how much I use them. I did notice that it didn’t last long when i first started using them probably about 30min-1hr but the more I used them and the longer I used them, the effect seems to last longer now. You can see that it adds volume and plumps them up and creates a pout. My favorite part is that it helps smooth out fine lines on lips so lipsticks go on so much smoother and easier.

Bottom line, I really do love these! If you’re looking for a way to get fuller, more voluminous lips I’d say to give these a try. They’re pretty effective without having to use any needles or any type of plastic surgery which is what won me over since I’m definitely too scared to try anything permanent.

Gerard Cosmetics Lipsticks

So everyone has been raving about these lipsticks from Gerard Cosmetics, I already have 1995 but they are currently having a sale that I could not pass up so I decided to go ahead and get the rest of them.
I really like the formula, they’re matte but not drying on my lips. The lipsticks sell individual for $19 but they are having a sale the 5 pack of all of their lipsticks for $45 (which normally goes for $95) with the code GCdeal45, I believe the deal lasts till the end of October. I couldn’t resist since I had been wanting their other lipsticks but wasn’t willing to pay $80+ for the other 4 haha

Here are swatches of all of the lipsticks

RC Cosmetics Face Brushes –Review

These brushes were sent to me by RC Cosmetics for review. I’ve been using them for a few weeks and I have to say they’ve become some of my favorite brushes! I’ve heard they’re comparable to Sigma brushes at a better price. I’ve never owned any Sigma brushes so I can’t personally compare the two.

These are some of the softest face brushes I’ve ever had and I love that they’re affordable too. The 4 large face brushes come in a set for $19.96 (you can check them out here) they also have them in different barrel colors and styles. Most of the affordable brushes I’ve purchased are rough and shed a lot, but I haven’t had shedding with these and I’ve washed them several times already. They’re also super easy to clean and the tips of the bristles don’t stain easily.
When I first tried them, I wasn’t too much of a fan. Since the bristles are so dense and full it seemed to brush off my foundation whenever I would brush on powder, blush or contour. But I started using them the dab on powders instead of brush them on and boy did that make a huge difference! Now when I apply my products with a dabbing or a stippling motion it leaves an airbrushed finish!

1. Pointed brush: I like to use this one to set my under eye concealer and to contour.

2. Rounded brush: I like to use this one to dab powder all over my face once I’ve applied my foundation.

3. Angled brush: I use this one to dab on my favorite blush on my cheeks and it makes it look so natural!

4. Flat Top brush: I’ve been using this one to apply my foundation/cc cream and it makes it look amazing! I usually hate using brushes because they tend to leave foundation streaky, but using this to dab or stipple foundation all I’ve my face has left such a great finish!

5. Small Detail brush: this brush can be used for so many different things. I like to use it for detailed contour, to apply eyeshadow, and to highlight my brow bone. My favorite use for it is to apply my under eye concealer. Again, I use a dabbing motion to dab and blend out my under eye concealer/highlight and it leaves it so smooth and even.

Verdict: I definitely say this brushes are worth $20! I’ve paid more for just one stippling brush and my makeup still didn’t look as flawless as it does with these brushes.

Airbrush Makeup Machine — Review

I received this awesome airbrush machine from the lovely people at They sell a variety of different supplies from train cases to tanning airbrush kits and even salon equipment at affordable prices.

I’ve always wanted to try airbrush makeup to get a that flawless, natural finish and thanks to them I finally got to!

Here is the actual machine, it can be purchased at

First off, I love the size of the machine. It’s not obnoxiously big so you can keep it on your counter or vanity and it won’t take up too much space. They also have it available in black and gold, and they even have cute heart shaped ones!

It’s pretty simple to use and put together which is great! It’s also very easy to clean. I made sure to purchase foundation that is specifically made for airbrush machines because I read that using regular foundations can clog the machine, so I didn’t want to take any chances. The little cup where you insert foundation is pretty large, so it can hold a generous amount of foundation so you don’t have to be constantly refilling it.

The dial where you control the pressure that the foundation sprays out has a huge range from very light mist to a powerful dense mist. This is great because it allows you to get around your eye area without getting any foundation in your eyes and you can raise the pressure to cover a larger area of your face.

Here is a picture of me after applying the airbrush foundation. I just applied a little bit of contour and blush on my face. I didn’t use powder or anything on top of the foundation.

I absolutely love this machine! It’s literally mistake proof, this application I did was my first try.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade First Impression

I was very skeptical to try this product. I think it was mainly the fact that it looks like a gel eyeliner. I thought to myself there is no way this will look natural. Also the fact that everyone and their mother is talking about it, I thought it was probably overrated. Yesterday I finally decided that I was going to give in and purchase it. I went to the Sephora in my area and they were sold out of the color I wanted. So this morning I called every Sephora/Ulta in my area and finally found a store that had ONE left. You best believe I rushed over there as quickly as possible! I decided to buy the shade dark brown since chocolate is too warm for my taste, blonde is too light, and ebony is too dark.

Price: $18.00

.14 oz

I’m glad to say that it really does live up to the hype and I have to admit I really love this product. A little really does go a long way, so the jar should last a while. I love that it doesn’t leave the brows feeling stiff/crunchy/cakey when it dries. It’s also buildable so you can do a light application for a more natural look or add more product for a more defined dramatic look. I usually have a problem with one of my eyebrows smearing and rubbing off during the day (the side my bangs are on) and I noticed that it did not happen with this product, so that was a HUGE plus. This is definitely going to be my go to eyebrow product during these hot Texas summers. Bottom line, I would definitely recommend this product!
