Khroma K24 Primer Review

I was so excited to try the K24 primer mainly because I love anything having to do with glitter. I bought it at Ulta for $14.99. Its a 24k gold dust makeup prepping primer gel. It says that it “prepares skin for makeup and leaves behind a subtle illuminating sheen which reflects light away from skin imperfections so makeup application looks flawless”

The directions say to apply a generous layer on well-cleansed face and neck. (I know, I didn’t clean my eyeliner off too well) Leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse well with water and apply cosmetics as desired. It kind of made me feel like a vampire from twilight with glittery the skin while it was on. haha

After I rinsed it off all I was left with were glittery flecks. It’s alright but I don’t think I’ll purchase it again. It didn’t seem to illuminate my complexion when I applied my foundation. I’ll just stick to my regular highlight/contour routine.

Wow! I have never seen anything like this! I saw the pic of you covered and was a bit like ‘wtf’ but afterwards- wow! Perhaps a bit too glittery for me, but I can imagine cool young things wearing it out (Im an old fart now 🙂 ) x

  2. It seems like a waste of time to have to apply and then rinse off. So many primers out there are invented for directly applying or blending with BB cream/foundation. Those are probably more efficient.

Also, I notice that it’s glitter as opposed to shimmer. The gold dust isn’t fine enough?
